It’s also 30% off on sale right now
2BunkerneathFri 29th Mar 2019
Tried to order the physical from PlayAsia but never appeared, even after 3 months, so have never bothered with it. Might get it sometime
3adh56Fri 29th Mar 2019
Might have to jump on this sale price
4RainbowGazelleFri 29th Mar 2019
Wii U version?
5SmaggTheSmugFri 29th Mar 2019
The lack of map with quest markings seems like a huge oversight in the original. Kinda telling how developers often lose sight of what is not obvious to the players that may be obvious to them.
6John_DeaconFri 29th Mar 2019
@SmaggTheSmug it’s only obvious to them because they’re the ones who decide where items will be placed. But most don’t get it….
7datamonkeyFri 29th Mar 2019
Why do I keep hearing this “quality of life” term everywhere? Wtf is it exactly?
8John_DeaconFri 29th Mar 2019
”the difficulty is ramped up to the max”. It reminds me of the NL review saying that difficulty and lack of help were cruel. It seems devs were not quite satisfied LOL
well, the inclusion of a map – and I hope quests are identified in the maps too – may be a turning point for me. I saw yesterday that it was on sale but I was still not sure because of the difficulty. Maybe now it’s the time to get it
9John_DeaconFri 29th Mar 2019
@datamonkey basically they offer improvements which might extend the game’s life and replayability. It may be an entirely new mode, added items or some important bug correction to make the game more enjoyable
10ZerocriticFri 29th Mar 2019
I forgot that the PS Vita was a thing
11MarinaKatFri 29th Mar 2019
@datamonkey It seemingly came out of nowhere, I find it to be an annoying new term for what is just updates as they’ve always been. I’m sure we’ll be getting that “quality of life” improvement on FF7 sound bug soon too!
12AllieKitsuneFri 29th Mar 2019
@Zerocritic The Vita only exists so that you can show off your Limited Run Games collection with the “VitaIsland” hashtag on Twitter.

Still holding off until the Wii U version is ready. Please tell me they didn’t can that version at the last minute like so many others
15motangFri 29th Mar 2019
Quality of life?
16PodFri 29th Mar 2019
Don’t think too hard about it. It’s a term from health tech that games have adopted for “general user experience improvements”.
17UlyssesFri 29th Mar 2019
It’s kind of hilarious that you take your ghost dog along with you to fight an evil cat boss. Cats vs dogs! Inb4 cat people on Twitter complain about it
18Ghost_of_HasashiFri 29th Mar 2019
Best action platform game ever, screw the haters. This game is epic.
19MaSSiVeRiCaNFri 29th Mar 2019
@liam_doolan So will the review be updated to reflect this update I think it will make all the difference now to the enjoyment level of the game.
2060frames-pleaseFri 29th Mar 2019
@Bunkerneath I ordered the physical copy of this off eBay, I think. It arrived and I really like the game. I’m sure I’ll like it even more after this patch. As long as they’re good I’ll probably never stop buying and playing these Ghosts and Goblins inspired games. I also really enjoy Cursed Castillo even though it’s too hard for me to beat, or get close to the end of the game. It’s fun trying!
21RatKing64Fri 29th Mar 2019
Yeah, the Vita is still alive for some of us. I am personally waiting for the Vita version because I like having the most obscure version of games when possible (provided it is actually good). If they released it on Neo Geo pocket color I would buy that version instead.
22nukathaFri 29th Mar 2019
@Liam_Doolan Is it worth re-reviewing the game with these QoL updates? It seems the address most of @scully1888 ‘s complaints.
23nukathaFri 29th Mar 2019
They said the Wii U version is coming after the QoL update, so we should be able to expect news very soon.
24SwitchForceFri 29th Mar 2019
Must not be updated yet as I can’t update the game so what version are they talking about? I got the physical version.
25Liam_DoolanSat 30th Mar 2019
@nukatha @MaSSiVeRiCaN I don’t think we will be revisiting the review at this stage.
26dcstudSat 30th Mar 2019
@RainbowGazelle I was looking for info on this as well.
27nukathaSat 30th Mar 2019
Fair enough. I’ll just wait for the review of the Wii U version then.
28MaSSiVeRiCaNSat 30th Mar 2019
@Liam_Doolan I hear ya. @nukatha it’d be nice if this got a physical with all the dlc, patches and updates. Hope it does well I really enjoyed it.
29motangSat 30th Mar 2019
@Pod Oh I am well aware of that, just don’t make any sense in using in video game aspect.
30PodSat 30th Mar 2019
I agree. I think Iwata was somewhat involved in bringing it around when he started talking about QoL tech some years ago, after his first brush with cancer.
31motangTue 2nd Apr 2019
@Pod Yeah when Iwata said that I thought he meant it more to do with sleep tracking and fitness working conjunction with Wii Fit.
